One of the common problems of developing nation is lack of good governance and the system. Department of transport management is one such area which has been very crowded and lack proper management. Whenever youths reach the department of transport management, the energy and patience level takes a giant fall and they question why to stay in Nepal. While western nation are providing great facilities for their residents, the basic services like these is a huge problem in Nepal. An applicant when applying for driving license can feel the lack of system and well organization process in Nepal and do nothing but regret for deciding to stay in Nepal.
Even if the process has been digitalized the problem is not less. Once the form is filled the date of written exam and trial is uncertain. The candidate has to wait long time to get a call and message from the department informing him/her about the date. After waiting for months finally the date of trial was been informed.
Unfortunately, I fell ill that day and missed my trial. As I couldn’t attempt trial that day, the reason of the disappointed applied online form. The day when phone call came from the department of the transport management Ms. Suprima was in hospital. She could not entertain her phone, when she made call to the department of transport management the officer replied she has to re feel the form and wait for next call says MBA graduate of Kathmandu University, Ms. Suprima Poudel who lives in Mid-Baneshwor.
Similar story was share by another applicant who has completed BIT (Bachelor in Information Technology) and currently stay in Bansbari, Prabisha Gautam. She says, I had completed all the process of trial. When I came to give trial I did not found my name in the trial name list. I went for the inquire; the officer here said there is no information record in the data status so I should again pay the amount of retrial and give the trial. At that point, I got very disappointed that even if I have studied BIT I will not be able to utilize my potential to the fullest. If I stay here because the system had been corrupt.
After reaching trial center, there were many disappointed face of youths. Day by day the youths of our country like Ms. Suprima MBA student and Ms. Prabisha BIT student has the feeling of leaving our country just because of lack of good governance and miner problem system in our country.
