Lalitpur Metropolitan City (LMC) and Nepal Telecom (NTC) have an agreement in place for FTTH internet services to be offered at the different ward offices of the local government. Rekha Das Shrestha, the Chief Administrative Officer of Lalitpur Metropolitan City, and Reena Dongol, the Director of the NTC Provincial Directorate in Bagmati Province, signed the agreement documents.
Through its FTTH Optical Fiber Network, NT will now offer connectivity services in Lalitpur Metropolitan City in accordance with the Service Level Agreement (SLA). Similarly, LMC will cover the costs of installation, operation, repair, and maintenance of the required equipment. It won’t be required to cover the cost of the FTTH CPE equipment, though.
