हरेक बर्षको पौषे औंशीलाइ एक बिशेष दिनको रुपमा लिइन्छ । पौषे औंशीको दिन चन्द्रमा आकास भित्र बिलाउने भएकाले महिनाकै सर्वाधिक अध्यारो रात हुन्छ । पुस महिनालाइ सौधाग्य लक्ष्मीको मास भनिन्छ भने पौषे औंशीलाइ धान्य लक्ष्मीको आर्चना गर्ने महत्वपूर्ण दिन भनिन्छ । पितृ उद्धारका लागि महत्वपूर्ण मानिने यस औंशीको दिन नदीकिनार, मठ मन्दिर र तिर्थस्तलहरुमा श्रद्धालुहरुको भिँडभाड हुन्छ ।
सनातन संस्कारका अनुयायीहरुले पौषे औंशीलाइ अत्यन्त महत्वपूर्ण दिनको रुपमा लिने गर्दछन् । पौषे औंशीको दिन श्रद्धालुहरु पितृ उद्धारका लागि मुस्ताङको कागबेनी, सुनसरीको बराह क्षेत्र, र काठमान्डौंको गोकर्ण लगायतका तीर्थस्थलमाहरुमा जाने गर्दछन् । यस औंशीलाइ श्रद्धा, तर्पण र पितृ कर्मको लागि अत्यन्त महत्वपूर्ण दिन मानिन्छ ।आजको दिन जौंउ तिल, अन्न पिण्ड, लत्ता कपडा आदि दान गरेमा सुभ फल प्राप्त हुने बिश्वास रहेको छ । तसर्थ श्रद्धालुहरुले यस दिन दान गरी पुण्य लाभ गर्दछन् ।
Nepal Police AIG Hari Bahadur Pal won the title of the Himalayan Bank Golf Tournament here at the Royal Nepal Golf Club today.
Played under stableford 3/4 handicap format, the 14-handicap amateur Pal accumulated 40 points to finish first. Maj Gen Vijay Moktan came second with 37 points. Hari Thapa won the gross section trophy with the score of 32 points.
Tara Karki Chitrakar bagged the women’s section title with 37 points, while Arshiya Banu was runner-up with 30 points. Likewise, Maj Gen Kamal Singh Pradhan finished first in senior section with 34 points, while Brig Gen Dilip Jung Rayamajhi came second with 32 points. Lt Gen Victory SJB Rana bagged the super senior section trophy with 27 points. Tashi Sherpa won the junior category title with 25 points, while Shyan Basnyat was runner-up with 23 points.
Pemba Sherpa bagged two trophies. He was the winner in guest category with 39 points and Sherpa also bagged the longest drive award. Jayendra B Shah came first among the HBL family players with 31 points, whereas Mahendra Kanta Mainali was the lucky winner (29th position).
Prakash Ban and Devendra Shrestha bagged the most birdies and closest-to-thepin awards respectively.
Also, Anvadya Malla lifted the girls section title with 18 points, while Istina Tondon came second with 17 points.
Jaybir Acharya and Idant Singh Saud bagged the longest drive and closest-to-thepin awards respectively in junior section.

पछिल्लो २४ घण्टामा ११६७ जनामा कोरोना भाइरस (कोभिड-१९) को संक्रमण पुष्टि भएको छ ।स्वास्थ्य तथा जनसंख्या मन्त्रालयका अनुसार देशभरमा १२ हजार ६३२ नमुना परीक्षण गर्दा उनीहरुमा संक्रमण पुष्टि भएको हो । संक्रमितमध्ये ६१५ जना काठमाडौं उपत्यकाका छन् । काठमाडौंमा ४९१, ललितपुरमा ९९ र भक्तपुरमा २५ जना छन् । मन्त्रालयकी प्रवक्ता संगीता मिश्राका अनुसार पीसीआर टेष्टमा औषतमा संक्रमणदर ९।५ प्रतिशत पुगेको छ ।
आइताबार र सप्तमी तिथि एकै समयमा परेको दिन रवि सप्तमी व्रत बस्ने चलनको सुरुवात परम्परादेखी नै भएको हो । रवि सप्तमीलाई दुर्लभ मानिन्छ । सुर्यलाई खुसी पारी सुभ फल प्राप्त गर्नको लागि रवि सप्तमि व्रत बस्ने गर्दछन् । यस दिन सुर्य नारायनको पूजा आरधना गरिन्छ ।
मध्यान्हमा सूर्य भगवानलाई देवी देवताको स्वरुपमा मानिन्छ भने सन्ध्या कालमा सूर्य भगवानलाई विष्णुको रुपमा मानिन्छ । रवि बारको दिन सूर्य भगवानको उपसना गर्नाले पद प्रतिष्ठान, सन्तान सुख, रोग र शोकको हनन गर्ने, धार्मिक आस्था रहेको छ ।
साथै रवि सप्तमिको दिन व्रत वस्नाले मनोकामना पूरा हुने वा कामना अनुसारको फल प्राप्त हुन्छ । सूर्य नारायनको विधि पुर्वक व्रत बसि पूजा गर्नको लागि तामाको भाडा, फुलपाति, अक्षता, कुस, जल, जौ, तिल, चन्दन आदिको आवश्यकता पर्दछ ।
आज पौष २४ गते अर्थात नेपाल ज्योतिष परिषदको २४औ स्थापना दिवस ।
ज्योतिषहरुको सबैभन्दा ठुलो संगठनका रुपमा चिनिने नेपाल ज्योतिष परिषद विभिन्न स्थानमा छरिएर रहेका फलित, गणित, हस्तरेखा, वास्तु, तन्त्र मन्त्र, पञ्चाङ गणना, कर्मकाण्ड, आर्युवेद, आदि विषयमा कार्यारत ज्योतिषहरुलाई एकरुपता दिन खोलिएको संगठन हो ।
नेपाल ज्योतिष परिषदको स्थापना २०५५ साल पौष महिनाको २४ गते लोकराज पौडेलको अध्यक्षतामा भएको थियो । त्यतिबेला परिषदको १९ सदस्यि प्रबन्ध समिति विधिवत रुपमा दर्ता भएको थियो । हाल परिषदको अध्यक्ष माधवराज पाण्डे रहेका छन् ।
परिषदका अनुसार अहिले दुई हजार आजिवन सदस्य छन् भने परिषदको ८६ ईकाई समिति छ ।
सामाजिक कलङ्कको रुपमा रहेको महिला हिंसा वर्तमान सामाजको ठुलो समस्या पनि हो । यसले समाजमा बिभिन्न समस्याहरु उत्पन्न गराएको छ । महिला हिंसाकै कारणले हाम्रो समाजमा एकता कायम हुन सकेको छैन । आधुनिक युगमा आएर पनि हाम्रो समाजमा महिलालाई हेर्ने दृष्टिकोणमा परिवर्तन आएको छैन । कुनै न कुनै किसिमले महिलाहरु हिंसाको सिकार बन्न पुगेका छन् । बिभिन्न अध्ययन अनुसन्धानको अनुसार ३५ प्रतिशत महिलाले शारिरीक र मानसिक हिंसा भोग्नु परेको छ । महिलालाई अपमान गर्ने, हेप्ने, जिस्काउने, स्वीकृति विना असहज हुने कार्य गर्ने, अश्लिल कुरा सुनाउने जस्ता हिंसात्मक कार्य दिन प्रतिदिन बढ्दै गएको छ । आफू माथी भइरहेको हिंसात्मक कार्यहरुको बिरुद्ध अझै पनि महिलाले खुलेर बोल्न सक्दैनन् ।
बलत्कार जस्ता जघन्य अपराधका घटना हरु दिनहुँजसो पत्रपत्रिका, रेडियो, टेलिभिजनका समचारहरुमा आइरहेको कुरा हामी सबैलाइ अवगत नै छ । कोही महिला दाइजोको कारण अपहेलित भएका छन् त कोही महिला बोक्सिको आरोपमा तिरस्कृत भएका छन् । कयौं महिलाले दाइजोको कारण ज्यान समेत गुमाउनु परेको छ । यसरी महिला हिंसा बढ्दै जादा मानब अधिकारको पनि हनन हुदै गएको छ । महिला हिंसाको कार्य नेपालमा मात्र नभइ संसारका अन्य विकसित देशहरुमा समेत हुदै आएको संचार माध्यमले जनाएका छन् । महिला हिंसा अन्त्यको लागि राज्यले पनि पहल नगरेको हैन तर अझै पनि महिला हिंसा र लैङ्गिक असमानता कायम नै देखिन्छ । महिला हिंसाको विरुद्ध हामी सबैले आवाज उठाउनु जरुरी छ । महिलालाई अनिवार्य रुपमा शीक्षाको ब्यवस्था गर्ने, महिला शसक्तिकरणमा जोड दिने, तालिम, सभा समारोहमा महिलालइ अनिबार्य रुपमा सहभागि गराउने गरेमा महिला हिंसालाइ जरैदेखि निर्मुल पार्न सकिन्छ ।
North Korea fired a “hypersonic missile” this week that successfully hit a target, state news agency KCNA reported on Thursday, its second such test as the country pursues new military capabilities amid stalled denuclearisation talks.

North Korea first tested a hypersonic missile in September, joining a race headed by major military powers to deploy the advanced weapons system.
Hypersonic weapons usually fly towards targets at lower altitudes than ballistic missiles and can achieve more than five times the speed of sound – or about 6,200 km per hour (3,850 mph).
Despite their name, analysts say the main feature of hypersonic weapons is not speed – which can sometimes be matched or exceeded by traditional ballistic missile warheads – but their manoeuvrability.
In Wednesday’s test, the “hypersonic gliding warhead” detached from its rocket booster and manoeuvred 120 km (75 miles) laterally before it “precisely hit” a target 700 km (430 miles) away, KCNA reported.
The missile demonstrated its ability to combine “multi-step glide jump flight and strong lateral manoeuvring,” KCNA said.
The test also confirmed components such as flight control and its ability to operate in the winter, KCNA added.
“The successive successes in the test launches in the hypersonic missile sector have strategic significance in that they hasten a task for modernizing strategic armed force of the state,” the KCNA report said.
While it has not tested nuclear bombs or long-range intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs) since 2017, in recent years North Korea has developed and launched a range of more manoeuvrable missiles and warheads likely aimed at being able to overcome missile defences like those wielded by South Korea and the United States, analysts have said.
“My impression is that the North Koreans have identified hypersonic gliders as a potentially useful qualitative means to cope with missile defence,” said Ankit Panda, a senior fellow at the U.S.-based Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.
NEW MISSILE
Hypersonic weapons are considered the next generation of arms that aim to rob adversaries of reaction time and traditional defeat mechanisms.
Last month the United States completed construction https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-pentagon-radar-idUSKBN2IL23X of a massive, $1.5 billion long-range radar for a homeland missile defence system in Alaska that it says can track ballistic missiles as well as hypersonic weapons from countries such as North Korea.
Photos of the missile used in Wednesday’s test show what analysts said is a liquid-fueled ballistic missile with a conical-shaped Manoeuvrable Reentry Vehicle (MaRV) blasting off from a wheeled launch vehicle in a cloud of flame and smoke.
It is a different version than the weapon tested last year, and was first unveiled at a defence exhibition in Pyongyang in October, Panda said.
“They likely set up at least two separate development programmes,” he added. “One of these was the Hwasong-8, which was tested in September. This missile, which shares a few features in common with the Hwasong-8, is another.”
In a call with Japanese Foreign Minister Yoshimasa Hayashi on Thursday, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken condemned the North Korea missile launch and discussed cooperation to achieve complete denuclearization and lasting peace on the Korean Peninsula, the U.S. State Department said in a statement.
“We take any new capability seriously, and as we’ve said, we condemn (North Korea’s) continued testing of ballistic missiles, which are destabilizing to the region and to the international community,” a State Department spokesperson said later.
Talks aimed at persuading North Korea to surrender its nuclear weapons and ballistic missile arsenal have been stalled since a series of summits between leader Kim Jong Un and then-U.S. President Donald Trump broke down with no agreement.
U.S. President Joe Biden’s administration has said it is open to talking to North Korea, but Pyongyang has said American overtures are empty rhetoric without more substantive changes to “hostile policies” such as military drills and sanctions.
The latest test came just hours before South Korean President Moon Jae-in attended a groundbreaking ceremony for a rail line he hopes will eventually connect the divided Korean peninsula, casting doubts over his hopes for an eleventh-hour diplomatic breakthrough with North Korea before his five-year term ends in May.

नेपालमा प्रशस्त मात्रमा खनिज सम्पदाहरु छन् । नेपालका बिभिन्न ठाउँहरुमा फलाम खानि, धातु खानि, अभ्रख खानि आदि फेला परेका छन् । यदि यसलाई अध्ययन अनुसन्धान गरी उचित तरिकाले उत्खनन गर्ने हो भने देशको आत्मानिर्भरता, आर्थिक समृद्धि र सम्पन्नतामा बृद्धि हुन्छ ।
नेपालमा सौन्दर्य प्रकट गर्ने हरियालिपूर्ण बनजङ्गल प्रशस्त छन् । हाल सामुदायिक बनजङ्गलको हिसाबले नेपाल प्रथमा राष्ट्र भनि घोषित भइसकेको छ । बनजङ्गलले वातावरणलाइ स्वच्छ हरावरा बनाउनुका साथै भूक्षय हुनबाट जोगाउन, माटोको उर्बरा शक्ति बढाउन, दुर्लभ बन्यजन्तु तथा जडिबुटि संरक्षण गर्न मौसम तथा वातावरणीय सन्तुलन गर्न सहयोग गर्छ ।
जलस्रोतको हिसाबले पनि नेपाल अत्यन्त सम्पन्न छ । जलस्रोतको हिसाबले संसारकै दोस्रो धनी देशको रुपमा रहेको नेपालमा अथाह नदीनाला, तालतलैया, आदि बिद्ययमान छन् । नेपालमा ८३ हजार बिद्युत उत्पादन गर्ने क्षमता रहेको छ । यदि क्षमता अनुसार विद्युत उत्पादन गर्ने हो भने देशलाइ झलमल्ल पार्नुका साथै देशमा इन्धनको समस्या समधान गर्न, सिँचाइ गर्न सकिन्छ । त्यति मात्र नभइ उत्पादित बिद्युत बिश्व बजारमा विक्री गरि प्रशस्त आयआर्जन गर्न सकिन्छ ।
अन्य देशको तुलनामा नेपालमा अत्याधिक हिम शृङ्खलाहरु रहेका छन् । बिश्वको सर्वोच्च शिखर सगरमाथा नेपालको गौरवको रुपमा रहेको छ । नेपाल सगरमाथाको देश भनि बिश्वभर परिचित छ । अन्य ८ भन्दा बढि हिमालहरु हाम्रो देशमा रहेका छन् । प्रशस्त हिम शृङ्खला भएकै कारण हाम्रो देशमा हरेक बर्ष लाखौ पर्यटकहरु भित्रने गर्दछन् । पर्यटकको बिकास बिस्तारले गर्दा विदेशि मुद्रा आर्जन भइ देशको आर्थिक बिकासमा सहयोग पुगेको छ । हाम्रो देशमा रहेको प्राकृतिक सम्पदालाई सहि सदुपयोग गर्न सके मात्र सफता हासिल गर्न सकिन्छ र समृद्धिले सार्थकता पाउँछ ।
पछिल्लो २४ घण्टामा नेपालमा ३७० जना कोरोना भाइरसका सङ्क्रमित थपिएका छन् ।
स्वास्थ्य तथा जनसङ्ख्या मन्त्रालयका अनुसार ६ हजार ७१५ जनामा आरटीपीसीआर परीक्षण गरिएकोमा ३७० जनामा कोरोना सङ्क्रमण पुष्टि भएको हो ।
त्यसैगरि ३ हजार ५५२ जनामा गरिएको एन्टीजेन परीक्षणमा ६५ जनामा कोरोना सङ्क्रमण देखिएको छ ।
पछिल्लो २४ घण्टामा २३९ जना कोरोनामुक्त भएको स्वास्थ्य मन्त्रालयले जनाएको छ । यो अवधिमा कोही पनि सङ्क्रमितको मृत्यु नभएको स्वास्थ्य मन्त्रालयले जनाएको छ ।
